Ingredients

  • 6 - large tomatoes
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • 3 - green chillies (use more if you like it spicy)
  • 1 - small bunch coriander leaves
  • Hing - small pinch
  • Salt - to taste

How to Make Tomato Pachadi

  • Cut tomatoes and green chillies, add about 4 tbsp water and the cumin seeds, and cook till tomatoes start turn mushy.
  • Add salt and coriander leaves.
  • Using a potato masher, mash up the mixture.
  • Heat oil, add mustard. When it splutters, add the hing and pour into the tomato mix.
  • Serve with hot rice, dhoklas and even idlis.
