Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp - cooking oil (vegetable/olive/sunflower)
  • 4 - medium size tomatoes
  • 1 - large onion
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard
  • 1/4 tsp - jeera
  • 1/4 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - dhania/jeera powder
  • frozen peas and carrots
  • salt to taste

How to Make Tomato Subji

  • Finely chop onions.
  • Chop tomatoes into small pieces.
  • Heat oil on a medium flame and put mustard and jeera and turmeric powder.
  • Fry onions till they are golden brown.
  • Mix tomatoes, red chilli powder, dhania/jeera powder and peas/carrots and stir.
  • Add water (depending on the thickness).
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Cook for 10 mins.
