Ingredients

  • 1 cup - raw Rice
  • 1 cup - idly Rice
  • 1 cup - Toor Dal
  • 7 - Red Chillies (or to taste)
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 medium - Onion (chopped finely)
  • Curry leaf
  • 1/2 cup - coriander (finely chopped)
  • Oil, as required

How to Make Toor dal adai

  • Soak rice, dal and red chillies together for 45 minutes. Grind them coarsely. The batter should be like idly batter in consistency.
  • Now, add salt, chopped onion, curry leaf and chopped coriander. Mix well.
  • Heat tawa and pour 2 ladles of batter and spread evenly (like dosa).
  • Add oil along the sides.
  • Cook both the sides till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with avial or coconut chutney.
