Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Toor dal
  • 3 - Red Chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp - Urad dal
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 3 cloves- garlic

How to Make Toor Dal Chutney

  • Fry the toor dal till golden brown.
  • Fry red chillies, urad dal and jeera till golden brown and add curry leaves.
  • Grind roasted Toor dal with little water.
  • When half done, add fried red chillies, jeera, salt and grind to a smooth paste.
  • Fry few pods of garlic and add to the chutney.
  • Goes well with rice, idli, and dosa.
