Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup - Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup - Cooked Toor Dal
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Ajwain seeds/Omam
  • 1 tbsp - Kasuri Methi
  • Salt
  • Oil for cooking

How to Make Toor dal Paratha

  • Mix the wheat flour, cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, kasuri methi and salt in a bowl.
  • Gradually add the cooked toor dal and yogurt and knead everything to smooth dough (add water if needed).
  • Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Make 8 medium sized balls from the dough.
  • Dust the balls with flour and roll out as round parathas using a rolling pin.
  • Heat a few drops of oil in a tawa and cook the paratha on both sides.
  • Drizzle oil if needed.
  • Serve with any sort of spicy side dish.
