How to Make Traditional Palak Dal

  • Heat oil in a kadai. Now add jeera, rai, curry leaves, chopped green chillies, ginger garlic paste, onion cubes and keep stirring till onion turn little brown.
  • Next add turmeric, red chilli powder and then add palak keep frying till the oil gets separated.
  • Now add the tamarind pulp and little water. Let it simmer. After this, add the cooked dal and mix it with palak properly.
  • Add a cup of water to form a nice gravy dal.
