Ingredients

  • 8 slices - sandwich bread
  • 4 slices Beef roast
  • 2 Onions chopped coarsely
  • 4 tsp - Butter
  • 4 tbsp - mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp - sandwich mustard
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 - Lettuce leaves or Cabbage leaves

How to Make Traditional Roast Beef Sandwiches

  • Butter all the slices of bread on one side only.
  • Lay the slices of roast on 4 of the buttered slices.
  • Combine the onions, mayonnaise, pepper powder, salt and mustard together.
  • Mix well then spread over the roast beef slices.
  • Lay a lettuce/cabbage leaf on top.
  • Cover with the remaining buttered slices.
  • Cut away the edges. Arrange on a plate and serve.
