How to Make Traditional Tomato Bhath

  • Roast rava till the raw smell is lost (do not brown).
  • Heat ghee, season with mustard, cloves, cinnamon, green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add onion and fry till soft (not coloured).
  • Add 2.5 cup of water, turmeric, salt, ginger and tomato.
  • When the water boils, reduced the flame and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add rawa. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
