Ingredients

  • Tomatoes - 5 to 6
  • Red Chillies - 3 to 4 (according to your taste)
  • Chana dal - 1 tsp
  • Urad Dal - 1 tsp
  • Rai - 1 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Methi - 1 tsp
  • Tamarind - Lemon size
  • Oil
  • For seasoning:
  • Oil
  • Rai
  • Hing
  • How to Make Traditional Tomato Chutney:

    1. Take oil in a pan.
    2. Put rai, jeera, meethi, channa dal, urad dal and red chillies.
    3. Later, put in tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
    4. Put salt and tamarind. Let it cool.
    5. Later, grind the whole into paste. Season it with rai and hing.
    6. Enjoy it with idlis, dosas and rice.
