Ingredients

  • Mushrooms - half lb (cut into small pieces)
  • Onion - 1, medium (chopped finely)
  • Tomato puree - 1 cup
  • Garam Masala - 1 tbsp
  • Elaichi powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Traditional Tomato Mushrooms:

    1. Take a frying pan with a lid and heat two tsp oil in it.
    2. Add the chopped onions and fry till they are pink in colour.
    3. Then, add tomato puree, turmeric powder and salt.
    4. Let it simmer for a few minutes. Then add the mushrooms.
    5. Cover the frying pan for about 10 minutes.
    6. Before removing from the stove, add garam masala and stir well.
    7. Add elaichi powder towards the end.
    8. Serve hot after garnishing with coriander leaves.
