Ingredients

  • 1 - large Potato
  • 1 bowl - boiled seasonal vegetables (50g)
  • 1 - large diced Onion and Capsicum each
  • 1/2 cup - oil to fry
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 tbsp - Tomato sauce, chilli sauce and soya sauce each
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • a pinch - ajinomoto
  • 1 tbsp - salt
  • How to Make Traditional Vegetable Manchurian:

    1. Boil potatoes and mash it. Mix it well with seasonal vegetables to make a dough.
    2. Divide it into small balls.
    3. Beat the egg and add some corn flour to make a thick batter.
    4. Coat each ball with the batter and shallow-fry until golden brown and keep aside.
    5. To prepare the gravy, fry onions and capsicum. Add ajinomoto and salt.
    6. Put tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soya sauce and cook well for 3 mins.
    7. To thicken the gravy, add some corn flour.
    8. Put the fried balls in the gravy and fold it well.
    9. Cook for another 5 mins in low flame.
    10. Decorate it with fresh coriander leaves and spring onions.
    11. Serve it with butter rice.
