  • 1 - large potato
  • 1 bowl - boiled seasonal vegetables (50g)
  • 1 - large diced onion and capsicum each
  • 1/2 cup - oil to fry
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 tbsp - tomato sauce, chilli sauce and soya sauce each
  • 1 tbsp - corn flour
  • a pinch - ajinomoto
  • 1 tbsp - salt

How to Make Traditional Vegetable Manchurian

  • Boil potatoes and mash it. Mix it well with seasonal vegetables to make a dough.
  • Divide it into small balls.
  • Beat the egg and add some corn flour to make a thick batter.
  • Coat each ball with the batter and shallow-fry until golden brown and keep aside.
  • To prepare the gravy, fry onions and capsicum. Add ajinomoto and salt.
  • Put tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soya sauce and cook well for 3 mins.
  • To thicken the gravy, add some corn flour.
  • Put the fried balls in the gravy and fold it well.
  • Cook for another 5 mins in low flame.
  • Decorate it with fresh coriander leaves and spring onions.
  • Serve it with butter rice.
