Ingredients

  • 250 g - Beans
  • 1 cup - Channa Dal
  • 1 cup - Moong Dal
  • 2 or 3 - Dry chillies
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1/4th tsp - Hing powder
  • As per taste - Salt
  • 10 or 15 leaves - Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • How to Make Traditional Vegetable Patholi:

    1. Soak the dal for 3 hours.
    2. Cut beans finely.
    3. Grind the dals coarsely along with green chillies, jeera and salt.
    4. Take a heavy bottom kadai, heat oil, add dry chillies and urad dal.
    5. Once the chillies and dal are fried, add beans.
    6. Fry for 10 mins on medium heat.
    7. Add the ground dal and fry for about 15 mins.
    8. Lastly, sprinkle some hing and add 1 tbsp of cooking butter.
    9. Cover for a little while and serve.
