Bring the Indian tricolor onto your breakfast table. The most popular breakfast item in India - Dosa, being given a patriotic look for Independence Day.


  • 4 cups - raw Rice
  • 1 cup - Urad Dal
  • 1 tsp - Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • oil as required
  • How to Make Tri colour Dosa:

    1. Clean and soak rice and dal separately for 5 hours.
    2. Separately grind rice and dal using required quantity of water.
    3. Mix rice, dal and salt to form a thick batter.
    4. Keep this mixture overnight for fermentation.
    5. In the morning, stir this mixture well.
    6. Pour one ladleful of batter on a heated non-stick tawa.
    7. Cook till one side turns a light brown.
    8. Flip on the other side and cook for some seconds.
    9. Serve hot with tomato and coconut chutney to make tri-colour dosa.
