Ingredients

  • 1 - pound cake (to make crumbs)
  • 50 ml - orange juice
  • 3 tbsp - whipped heavy cream
  • 500 ml - milk
  • 2.5 tbsp - custard powder
  • 65 gms - castor sugar
  • 350 gms - mixed fruits drained from syrup

How to Make Trifle Fruit Pudding

  • Dissolve custard powder in 2 tbsp milk.
  • Boil the remaining milk with sugar.
  • Add the custard mixture to the boiling milk and stir it till it thickens.
  • Allow the custard to cool down at room temperature.
  • To assemble:
  • In a serving dish, pour half the custard at the base of the bowl and spread it evenly.
  • On top of it put crumbs of cake and pour the orange juice, so that the cake crumbs soak in the juice completely.
  • Put the remaining half of custard on top of it along with the whipped cream.
  • Decorate with fruits.
  • Serve chilled.
