Ingredients

  • Maida - 2 cups
  • Melted hot Ghee - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tsp
  • Cooking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - to fry
  • How to Make Tukdi:

    1. Combine all the ingredients except the oil. Add enough water and make a dough as for chapathis.
    2. Divide the dough into orange size balls. Keep them covered with a wet cloth.
    3. Roll out each ball to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into small diamond shapes.
    4. Deep-fry them in moderately hot oil till they puff and become crisp.
    5. Cool and store in airtight container.
