Ingredients

  • 1 large tin - tuna fish
  • 1.5 cups - mushrooms, chopped
  • 1.5 cups - capsicum, chopped
  • 1 tsp- mustard powder
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup - bread cubes, fried in butter
  • 1.5 cups - celery, chopped
  • 1 cup - cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 cups - milk
  • 2 tbsp - onions, chopped
  • 1.5 tsp - pepper
  • 4 tbsp -butter
  • 1 tsp - salt

How to Make Tuna Bake

  • Grease a baking dish and put a layer of tuna and then a layer of chopped onions, mushrooms, celery, capsicum and half of the fried bread.
  • Cover with the remaining tuna and the fried bread cubes.
  • Beat eggs with mustard, salt, pepper and milk.
  • Pour this over the tuna, sprinkle grated cheese and bake in a hot oven till set.
  • Do not over bake, or it will turn mushy.
