Tuna Tomato Fish curry is a delicious fish recipe made into a curry and especially loved by people living off the coast. This fish recipe is made using tuna fish and the tangy twist of tomato along with lemon adds the zesty flavor to it.

This Indian recipe is served as side dish and you can learn how to make it at home using our recipe guide. The non-vegetarian recipe is made by stewing technique. Tuna fish pieces are marinated with some spices and then cooked with masala mix made from onion, tomato and common spices. You can add water to facilitate faster cooking. The fish curry comes out nice and thick after some time. The cooked fish in fish curry is tender and delish.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - Tuna fish
  • 1/2 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 big Tomato
  • salt to taste
  • fresh Coriander leaves
  • 1 Onion minced
  • 1 big Tomato minced fine
  • How to Make Tuna Fish Tomato Curry:

    1. Cut the fish into pieces, put little salt, turmeric powder, lemon juice and keep aside.
    2. Heat oil in vessel, put minced onions and tomato.
    3. Cook till onion is soft and tomato is pulpy.
    4. Add the following -1/2 tbsp coriander powder,1/2 tsp cumin powder,1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp chilli powder,1/2 tsp garam masala powder.
    5. Mix well. Let masala get cooked on slow fire with water. Put enough water to make gravy and salt to taste.
    6. Boil well and put fish.
    7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
