Ingredients

  • 2 - lamb chops
  • 3 - Carrots
  • 3 Cloves - Garlic
  • 2 - Tomatoes
  • 2 - Leeks
  • 1 cup - Rice
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 - red pepper
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • 2.5 cups - water
  • How to Make Turk Chawal:

    1. Fry the lamb chops in olive oil.
    2. Add some salt and ground black pepper to the chops. Continue frying.
    3. In the meantime, chop 3 medium sized carrots and add them to the meat.
    4. Then chop the whole red pepper and add them too. Saute.
    5. Add chopped garlic, chilli powder, tomatoes and 1/2 cup water. Saute.
    6. Then add the chopped leeks and rice with 2 cups water.
    7. Cook with lid on for 10 mins on a medium flame.
    8. When cooked, rest 10 mins.
    9. Serve hot.
