Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - turnips, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Poppy Seeds
  • 1 tsp - ginger, Garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup - yogurt
  • salt

How to Make Turnip Masala

  • Add oil, ginger, garlic paste and onions and cook on high for 4 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients except the yogurt and cook covered for 3 more minutes.
  • Add the curd and one tbsp of water.
  • Cook on medium heat for 14 minutes till the turnip is well cooked.
  • Serve hot.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and garam masala.
