Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - turnips, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Poppy Seeds
  • 1 tsp - ginger, Garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup - yogurt
  • salt
  • How to Make Turnip Masala:

    1. Add oil, ginger, garlic paste and onions and cook on high for 4 minutes.
    2. Add the rest of the ingredients except the yogurt and cook covered for 3 more minutes.
    3. Add the curd and one tbsp of water.
    4. Cook on medium heat for 14 minutes till the turnip is well cooked.
    5. Serve hot.
    6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and garam masala.
