  • 1 cup - rava
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • 4 cut chillies
  • 1 cut carrot
  • 1 cut onion
  • 1 cut capsicum
  • 1 cup peas
  • Salt to taste
  • Some kadipatha
  • 4 cups - water

How to Make Uppuma

  • Take a pan and add 2 tsps of oil to it.
  • Add mustard, urad dal, chillies and kadipatha to it.
  • When the mustard begins to pop, add the cut onion and capsicum.
  • Then, fry it until the onion turns golden brown.
  • Add 3 cups of water and the cut carrot and peas to it.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Allow it to cook well.
  • Take another pan and pour 2 tsp of oil.
  • Then, take the rava and fry it till it is hot enough and begins to turn slightly brown.
  • Add the cooked carrot, peas mixture and other ingredients, and also some water to it.
  • Mix well until it become thick and well cooked.
  • Your upma is ready.
  • Serve it with coconut chutney.
