Ingredients

  • Urad Dal - 1 cup
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Curd - 4 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper - 1 pint
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp | Chilli powder - 1 pint
  • How to Make Urad Dal wada in Dahi:

    1. Wash dal and soak in 3 cups of water for 1-2 hrs. Drain water.
    2. Grind dal with ginger and green chilli with sufficient amount of water to make a thick batter.
    3. Heat the oil, and keep the gas on medium-high.
    4. Make balls and fry.
    5. Drain the extra oil on paper tissue
    6. Mix milk to the curd and stir it well.
    7. Add all the ingredients and soak fried vada into the mixture for at least half an hour.
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves, and serve with tamarind chutney.
