Ingredients

  • Urad Dal - 1 cup
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Curd - 4 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper - 1 pint
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp | Chilli powder - 1 pint

How to Make Urad Dal wada in Dahi

  • Wash dal and soak in 3 cups of water for 1-2 hrs. Drain water.
  • Grind dal with ginger and green chilli with sufficient amount of water to make a thick batter.
  • Heat the oil, and keep the gas on medium-high.
  • Make balls and fry.
  • Drain the extra oil on paper tissue
  • Mix milk to the curd and stir it well.
  • Add all the ingredients and soak fried vada into the mixture for at least half an hour.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves, and serve with tamarind chutney.
