Ingredients

  • 3 cup - Idli batter
  • 4 - chopped Onions (medium size)
  • 5 - green chillies, minced
  • 1 small piece - ginger, peeled and minced
  • oil as required

How to Make Uthappam

  • Mix chopped onions, minced chillies and ginger with the idli batter and stir well.
  • Evenly spread 1 tsp oil onto a heated frying pan and spread some batter on it.
  • Turn it on its side when the base is light brown and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Serve hot with chutney or sambhar.
