  • 3 cup - Idli batter
  • 4 - chopped Onions (medium size)
  • 5 - green chillies, minced
  • 1 small piece - ginger, peeled and minced
  • oil as required
  • How to Make Uthappam:

    1. Mix chopped onions, minced chillies and ginger with the idli batter and stir well.
    2. Evenly spread 1 tsp oil onto a heated frying pan and spread some batter on it.
    3. Turn it on its side when the base is light brown and cook for 30 seconds.
    4. Serve hot with chutney or sambhar.
