Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups - all purpose unbleached flour
  • 1 - Egg
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/3 cup - vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp - vanilla
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 3/4 cup - Milk or juice
  • 2 tbsp - Apple sauce
  • few drops - yellow colour
  • How to Make Vanilla Cupcakes with Applesauce:

    1. Sieve the flour using soda and baking powder for at least 3 times and set aside. Beat egg until frothy. Add sugar, salt, yellow colour, milk, apple sauce, vanilla, and oil and mix well again.
    2. Add the sifted flour to the mixture and mix well until it forms a batter.
    3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
    4. Line the muffin tray with baking cups and fill the mixture 2/3 full and set into the preheated oven.
    5. Bake about 20 to 25 minutes or until the skewers inserted come out clean. The muffins will puff up and become golden brown in colour.

    7. You can add any dry fruits or nuts of your choice.
    8. Even an icing of your choice can be added.
