  • 100 g - flour
  • 120 g - cream
  • 110 g - sugar
  • 4 - Eggs
  • 100 ml - Sugar syrup
  • 2 g - Baking powder
  • 2 drops - Vanilla essence
  • Cherries for garnish

How to Make Vanilla Gateaux

  • Break the eggs into a bowl and add castor sugar to it.
  • Beat the eggs till the soft peaks form. Add the flour slowly to the egg mix.
  • Mix well until there are no lumps.
  • Add baking powder, vanilla essence to the mixture and mix well.
  • Bake in a hot oven.
  • Cut the sponge into equal halves, horizontally.
  • Brush the first half liberally with sugar syrup and apply cream evenly.
  • Place the second layer of sponge on it carefully.
  • Now, place the cake on a plate and apply cream evenly.
  • Garnish with a cherry on top.
