  • 3 cups - Maida
  • 1 cup - yellow cornmeal, stone ground
  • 2 tsp - sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Thyme seeds
  • 2 - Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp - Active Dry yeast
  • 1 cup - lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp - Olive oil
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • How to Make Vegan Garlicky Sesame and Cornmeal Dinner Rolls:

    1. Ferment the yeast in lukewarm water with sugar and salt for 5 mins
    2. Mix together maida, yellow cornmeal, thyme leaves, sesame seeds and minced garlic cloves, add gradually the yeast, olive oil and water if needed and knead to a soft and stiff dough
    3. Grease a bowl and place the dough and keep aside undisturbed for an hour in a warm place
    4. After an hour the dough will rise to double the volume. Punch down the dough and make out 6-8medium size balls
    5. Meanwhile line a baking tray, roll the dough well as dinner rolls and place them over the lined baking sheet, and let it remain for half an hour in a warm place closed with a towel
    6. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F for few mins and arrange the baking tray in the middle rack
    7. Bake for 25-30 mins until the crust turns brown, remove and cool
