  • 12 slices - bread of your choice
  • 4 tsp - Butter
  • 4 Lettuce leaves/cabbage leaves
  • 1 tsp - table mustard
  • 4 tsp - Mint chutney
  • 2 Potatoes boiled, peeled and sliced thickly
  • 2 Tomatoes sliced
  • 1 Onion sliced thinly
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Vegetable Club Sandwiches:

    1. Toast the breast lightly and butter on one side of each.
    2. Brush with mustard and mint chutney.
    3. Place lettuce or cabbage leaves over 4 slices of toast, then cover with slices of potato and cucumber each. Sprinkle salt and cover with a slice of buttered toast.
    4. Now place tomato slices on this and then the onion slices.
    5. Sprinkle a little salt.
    6. Cover with the remaining slices of toast buttered side down.
    7. Secure each club sandwich with toothpicks.
    8. Cut diagonally into half. Serve with tomato sauce, mustard and a few French fries.
    9. Makes 4 club sandwiches.
    10. Use vegetables of your choice.
