Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - roasted broken Wheat
  • 4.5 cups - water
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup - Green peas
  • 1 - carrot, chopped
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Vegetable dalia:

    1. Heat oil in pressure cooker, splutter mustard, cumin, curry leaves and chillies. Saute for a min.
    2. Add onions, carrots, peas and saute for 2 mins.
    3. Add water and salt, bring the water to boil, add broken wheat, stir well and close the lid
    4. Pressure cook for 3 whistles on a low flame
    5. Once the pressure subsides, mix well and serve.
