Ingredients

  • 8 pcs - bread slices
  • 2 - medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup - spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 - medium green capsicum, de-seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup - cabbage, grated
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - soya sauce
  • A generous pinch of ajinomoto
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup - plain flour, mixed with water to make a paste
  • 3 tbsp - white sesame seeds
  • Oil for deep frying
  • How to Make Vegetable Fingers:

    1. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a wok and saute green capsicum and cabbage on high heat for a minute.
    2. Add spring onions and after a minute, add the potatoes.
    3. Mix well and add the spices, salt, soya sauce and coriander leaves.
    4. Keep aside.
    5. Apply the flour paste on the vegetables.
    6. Sprinkle sesame seeds generously over the vegetables.
    7. Deep fry in very hot oil on both sides.
    8. Remove from the wok on to paper towels and cut into 4-5 fingers and serve.
