Ingredients

  • 8 pcs - bread slices
  • 2 - medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup - spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 - medium green capsicum, de-seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup - cabbage, grated
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - soya sauce
  • A generous pinch of ajinomoto
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup - plain flour, mixed with water to make a paste
  • 3 tbsp - white sesame seeds
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Vegetable Fingers

  • Heat 3 tbsp oil in a wok and saute green capsicum and cabbage on high heat for a minute.
  • Add spring onions and after a minute, add the potatoes.
  • Mix well and add the spices, salt, soya sauce and coriander leaves.
  • Keep aside.
  • Apply the flour paste on the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds generously over the vegetables.
  • Deep fry in very hot oil on both sides.
  • Remove from the wok on to paper towels and cut into 4-5 fingers and serve.
