  • 2 - vegetable marrows/chowchow
  • 2 - Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - Onions (chopped)

How to Make Vegetable Marrow - Chowchow Side Dish

  • Peel and cut the vegetable marrows/chowchow into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute chopped onions till golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder and salt and stir-fry for a few minutes till the tomatoes turn pulpy.
  • Add the vegetable marrow/chowchow and mix well.
  • Simmer on low heat till the vegetable is cooked.
