  • 1 - carrot, finely chopped
  • 10 - French beans, chopped
  • 1 - small potato, peeled and chopped
  • 1 - small onion, chopped
  • 4 inch piece - bottle gourd, peeled, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Vegetable Stock:

    1. Put 2.5 litres water to boil in a deep vessel.
    2. Add all vegetables and bring to boil.
    3. Simmer, covered, on low heat for approximately 20 minutes till vegetables are very soft.
    4. Take off fire and sieve through a non-metallic mesh.
    5. Save this liquid to form vegetable stock for other soups.
    6. Drained vegetables can be used for any other recipe.
    7. Add salt.
    8. Makes 2 litres approximately.
