How to Make Vendaikkai Sukka - Okra Sukka

  • Chop the okras into 1 inch pieces
  • Heat a little oil and fry okras until half done and keep aside
  • Meanwhile, roast and grind coriander seeds, poppy seeds, mustard seeds, desiccated coconut and dry red chillies to a fine powder and keep aside
  • Heat enough oil, splutter the mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, cumin seeds and add the chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and slit green chillies.
  • Saute until the onions turn translucent
  • Add the okra pieces, freshly grounded spice powder, salt and simmer the vegetables till fully done.
  • Serve hot.
