  • 10 - shallots, sliced
  • 1 - onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp - onion
  • 3 - dry red chillies
  • 1 - tamarind, small lemon size
  • Flax seed oil for serving
  • A few - curry leaves
  • Oil for cooking
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Vengaya Vadagam Chutney

  • Heat the oil and fry the onions until they turn brown.
  • Add the dry red chillies and fry for a few mins
  • Finally add the tamarind, curry leaves and turn off the stove.
  • Once it cools, grind it to coarse paste with salt and water.
  • While serving add the flax seed oil, give a mix and serve.
