  • 4 handful vermicelli
  • 14 tbsp - Sugar
  • 6 tbsp - Ghee
  • 8 to 10 green Cardamoms (powdered)
  • 40 strands Saffron (approx)
  • 4 cups - water
  • How to Make Vermicelli Halwa:

    1. Break the vermicelli into medium sized pieces.
    2. Heat the ghee for a few seconds and on a low flame, fry the vermicelli till it turns a shade darker than golden.
    3. Add the water, powdered cardamoms and saffron dissolved in 1 tbsp of hot water.
    4. Cook on a medium flame till the water dries up.
    5. Now add the sugar.
    6. When the water from the sugar dries up, cover it with a lid and remove from the stove.
    7. Serve hot after 5 mins.
