Ingredients

  • 1 cup - vermicelli
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • Saffron - a pinch
  • Kesar colour - if desired
  • 1/2 cup - Ghee
  • 10-12 - Raisins
  • 10 - Cashew nuts
  • How to Make Vermicelli Kesari:

    1. Roast the vermicelli with a little ghee.
    2. When it is cooled, add a little water and cook the vermicelli till it becomes soft.
    3. Add sugar, reduce the flame.
    4. When the sugar dissolves, add ghee and allow it to thicken.
    5. Add saffron and kesar colour and mix well.
    6. When it has thickened, add raisins and cashewnuts roasted in ghee.
    7. Mix well and serve.
