  • 1.5 cups - Wheat flour
  • 1 - onion, big sized
  • 1.5 tsp - sambar powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • Water as needed
  • 1 tsp - Jeera or cumin (optional)
  • How to Make Wheat Flour Adai:

    1. Chop the onions finely. Add the chopped onions, turmeric, sambar powder, salt, curry leaves to the flour and mix well.
    2. Add water and make a smooth dough.
    3. Divide into six equal sized balls.
    4. Place a polythene film or plastic sheet over a platform and grease it with a few drops of oil.
    5. Flatten the dough ball with hands into a little bit thicker than roti.
    6. Heat a flat pan, drizzle with oil and toast the adai on both the sides over a medium flame till golden brown spot appear.
    7. Serve hot with raitha of your choice.
