Ingredients

  • 4 cups - vegetable stock (refer below)
  • 1/2 Onion ,chopped fine
  • 1/4 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 1/4 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin powder
  • 2-3 pinches Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - curry powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup - frozen Corn
  • 1/2 cup - tomatoes, chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup - Tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp - raw Rice
  • 2 tbsp - moong dal (yellow)
  • 1 tbsp - oil

How to Make Wintry Soup

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Fry onion, ginger and garlic till transparent.
  • Add cumin powder, turmeric and curry powder.
  • Add vegetable stock and bring it to boil.
  • Add moong dal and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add rice, corn, tomatoes and puree.
  • Let it cook till rice is done.
  • Serve hot. Soup sticks, pepper and salt, as desired.
