Ingredients

  • 2 cups - yam, cubed and cooked with turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - frozen methi leaves, crushed
  • 4 tbsp - gram flour
  • 3 tbsp - rice flour
  • 1 tbsp - corn flour
  • 3 - garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp - fennel seed powder
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for deep frying

How to Make Yam and Methi Pakodas

  • Mix the cooked yam, crushed methi leaves, gram flour, rice flour, corn flour, crushed garlic, fennel seed powder, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle some water and mix everything well until the vegetables are well coated with the flour.
  • Heat oil for deep frying.
  • Into the hot oil, gently drop the flour-coated yam pieces one by one.
  • Fry until they turn golden brown.
  • Drain the excess oil on a paper towel and serve immediately.
