Ingredients

  • For momos:
  • 250 g - maida
  • 500 g - minced lamb or 1 cup - chopped cabbage
  • 200 g - large onions, chopped finely
  • 1 tbsp - ghee/oil
  • 2 tsp - ajinomotto
  • Salt to taste.
  • For tomato chutney:
  • 150 g - boiled tomatoes
  • 8 flakes - garlic
  • 6 - green chillies
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Yummy Momos

  • Mix the maida with a little water and make the dough. Set it aside.
  • Add all the ingredients listed above for momos and keep it aside.
  • Roll out the dough so that it is very thin and cut into small circles.
  • Add a bit of filling in each of these and fold over and seal the edges with a little water.
  • Put each one in a steamer - ensure they don't stick to each other - and cook.
  • After 15 mins, remove them from the steamer and serve it hot with tomato chutney.
  • Method for chutney: Peel the tomatoes.
  • Grind it smoothly along with the rest of the ingredients listed and serve.
