Ingredients

  • Butter - 100 g

  • Icing Sugar - 40g
  • Egg Yolk - 20g
  • Vanilla beans - 15g
  • Vanilla Essence - 2g
  • Refine Flour - 100g
  • Walnut/Almond Powder - 60g
  • Vanilla sugar (for top) - 30g
  • Icing sugar - 45g

How to Make Vanillekipfer Cookies

  • Cream the butter and icing sugar lightly.

  • Add yolks and vanilla essence in a regular interval to incorporate with butter.
  • Add all the dry ingredients to the cream butter mix to form a dough.
  • Refrigerate the dough for at least one hour.  
  • Mold little “Vanillekipfers” and roll on the vanilla sugar.
  • Place onto a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 180 C for approx. 10 to 12 minutes.
  • While still hot dust the Vanillekipfers with vanilla sugar.
  • Store in airtight containers.
