Ingredients

  • Lamb Trotters- 2 Nos
  • Shallots -100gm
  • Coconut Oil -50 Ml
  • Green Chili -10gm
  • Black Pepper Whole-10gm
  • Coriander Seeds -25 gm
  • Cumin - 10gm
  • Poppy Seeds -50gm
  • Coconut - Half No
  • Cinnamon Stick -10gm
  • Cardamom -5gm
  • Cloves -5gm
  • Turmeric Powder -5gm
  • Coriander Powder -10gm
  • Curry Leaf -5gm
  • Coriander Leaves -25gm
  • Salt -To Taste

How to Make Aatu Kal Paya

  • Clean, wash and blanch the aatu kal with salt and turmeric, after blanch drain the water.
  • Take a thick bottom pan, add Coconut oil, add shallots saute well, it colour turns lightly add all ingradiants, except coconut, poppy seeds.
  • After sauté, keep it cool; at the time of grinding add coconut, poppy seeds.
  • Take a thick Bottom Hundi or cooker, add oil, whole garam masala, shallots saute well. Add cleaned aatu kal, stir well.
  • Add grained paste, and cook well.
  • Serve Soup hot with 1-2 pieces of the goat leg in each serving with coriander leaves pudina garnishing.
