Adrak chutney or Ginger chutney has the goodness of ginger combined with the tartness of lemon and the sweetness of sugar. Ingredients

  • 250 gms - Adrak (Ginger), grated
  • 4 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Black salt
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds, roasted and crushed
  • 1 tsp - Black cardamom powder
  • Juice of 5 lemons
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Adrak Chutney

  • Heat a non stick pan, add ginger and saute on medium heat until moisture evaporates.
  • Add sugar and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add powdered spices and cook for another 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat, add lemon juice and allow to cool.
