Ajwain Water is popular in India as a therapeutic drink to relieve indigestion and help weight loss. 

Ajwain - commonly called as carom seeds in English, vamu in Telugu and omam in Tamil, has enormous medicinal properties. Also known as Bishop's Weed Water, Ajwain Water offers instant relief from gastritis, stomach ache and indigestion.  

This drink is made with minimal ingredients - powdered ajwain, ghee and grated jaggery. Here is a quick guide to prepare this 'Wonder Water'.

  • 100 gms - carom seeds (ajwain) powdered.
  • 3 cups - water
  • 3 tbsp - ghee
  • 1 cup - jaggery, grated

How to Make Ajwain Water

  • Heat one tbsp ghee and add one cup of water.
  • Stir and add the ajwain powder.
  • When the mixture starts boiling, add the jaggery.
  • Stir to dissolve and bring back to a boil.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Drink like a hot soup.
  • Repeat the method and take every morning for 3 days.
