  • 500g - potatoes
  • 25g - tomatoes
  • 10g - ginger/garlic paste
  • 5g - cumin seeds
  • 5g - coriander powder
  • 5g - turmeric powder
  • 5g - red chilli powder
  • 5g - cumin seed and black pepper powder
  • 1 pinch - garam masala
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil

How to Make Aloo Masala

  • Boil potatoes. Peel the skin and cut it into pieces.
  • Heat oil, add cumin seeds and potatoes.
  • Stir potato until it turns light golden colour.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and ginger-garlic paste. Saute in low flame.
  • Add tomatoes and all masalas and cook till tender.
  • Do not add water.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve with rotis and parathas.
