Ingredients

  • 6 medium sized - potatoes
  • Methi leaves (dry) - 1/2 packet
  • 2 cloves, finely chopped - garlic
  • 2 finely chopped - chillies
  • 1 finely chopped - onion
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Aloo Methi with Dry Methi leaves

  • Boil, peel and cut the potatoes into medium sized pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the potatoes until light golden brown. Keep aside.
  • Fry the garlic and chillies.
  • Add the onions and saute until crisp.
  • Add the garam masala.
  • Add the methi leaves and fry for 3-4 mins.
  • Add the fried potatoes and the chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
  • Mix well and saute for 5-6 minutes on medium heat.
