Ingredients

  • 1 cup - basmati rice
  • 1 cup - pineapple (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup - peas
  • 7 to 8 - cashew nuts
  • 7 to 8 - black peppercorns
  • 1 or 2 - cloves
  • 1 tbsp - jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - cooking oil
  • A pinch - cinnamon powder
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Ananas (Pineapple) Pulao

  • Wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add jeera to it. When jeera splutters, add peas and pineapple to it.
  • Saute, and then add the rice and the remaining ingredients to it - along with enough water.
  • Cook it on low heat until done. Serve it hot.
