Ingredients

  • 2 cups - raw jackfruit pieces
  • 4 tbsp - ground coconut/paste
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - garlic and ginger paste
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 - cloves
  • 1 piece - cinnamon

How to Make Anglo-Indian Jackfruit Curry

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and saute onions, cloves and cinnamon for a few minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste and fry for a few minutes.
  • Now add all the other ingredients along with the raw jack fruit pieces and 3 cups of water and mix well.
  • Pressure cook for 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot with plain rice or chapattis.
