Ingredients

  • 1 - cucumber sliced
  • 1 -onion sliced
  • 1 - small ridge-gourd peeled and sliced
  • 8-10 - ajwain leaves, washed clean whole
  • 1 - potato peeled and sliced
  • 1.5 cup - gram flour
  • 1/2 cup - rice flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • Oil, for deep fry

How to Make Assorted Bhajias

  • Mix flours, salt, cumin seeds, turmeric to make a batter for dipping.
  • Heat oil to deep fry. When hot, add a tablespoon to the batter and mix.
  • Dip the vegetables, slice by slice and slide into the hot oil. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with sauce or chutney as desired.
