  • For the stuffing:
  • 4 - Button mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup - Crumbled paneer
  • 1/2 tsp - Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp - Red chilli flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Olive oil
  • For the dough:
  • 1 cup - All-purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 tsp - Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Lukewarm water, as required.

How to Make Baked Dumplings

  • Combine the all-purpose flour, the salt, and the cooking oil in a bowl and knead it into a soft dough using lukewarm water.
  • Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 15-20 mins.
  • Wash and remove stems from the mushrooms and chop them finely.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and saute the mushrooms, paneer, oregano, chilly flakes and salt.
  • Mix well and cook for 1 min.
  • Transfer it to another bowl and let it cool.
  • Now divide the mixture into 4 equal balls and roll out each as thinly as possible (8-9" diameter).
  • Cut into a squares and put a little filling in the centre of each square and seal the edges well.
  • Follow the same process for all 4 balls.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degree.
  • Place the filled dumplings onto a baking sheet and brush each side of the dumplings with a little olive oil.
  • Bake dumplings for 6 minutes at 375 degree remove from the oven to flip over each dumpling and bake for another 6 minutes.
  • Dumplings should be golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot.
