  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced lengthwise
  • Butter, for greasing
  • 1 tsp. ground allspice
  • ½ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup slivered almonds
  • 3 knobs of preserved ginger, diced
  • 1 cup plain yoghurt

How to Make Baked Spiced Bananas

  • Place the bananas in a lightly greased ovenproof dish.
  • Sprinkle with the spices, lemon juice and almonds.
  • Bake in a pre heated oven, at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mix together the preserved ginger and yoghurt in a bowl.
  • Serve the bananas with spoonfuls of the yoghurt.
