Ingredients

  • 1 pack - phyllo sheet
  • 2 cups - pistachio, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup - granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup - butter
  • For syrup:
  • 1 cup - honey
  • 2 cups - granulated sugar
  • 2 cups - water
  • 1 - cinnamon stick
  • 2 slices - lemon

How to Make Baklava with Pistachio

  • Boil the water and add honey, sugar and cinnamon stick.
  • Stir until it thickens.
  • In a bowl mix pistachio nuts, cinnamon and sugar.
  • Grease a baking pan and line the base with phyllo.
  • Brush butter on the layers.
  • Cover with thin layer of nut mixture, then top with another layer of phyllo. Repeat till nut mixture is done.
  • Pour melted butter.
  • Bake for 30 to 45 mins at 400 Fahrenheit until brown.
